CrowdStrike brings its Falcon platform to Google Cloud to strengthen multicloud security

CrowdStrike has announced, coinciding with its Fal.Con 2026 event held in Las Vegas, that its Falcon cybersecurity platform is now available on Google Cloud infrastructure. With this move, the company expands the cloud options on which Falcon can be deployed, allowing customers to do so on the hyperscaler of their choice and thereby advancing its strategy of consolidating security under a single platform.

The announcement responds to a trend CrowdStrike itself identifies: practically every large organization today operates in multicloud environments, and that fragmentation across providers usually translates into operational complexity and security gaps that attackers can exploit. By bringing Falcon to Google Cloud, the company offers its customers unified protection for AI agents, endpoints, identities, cloud environments and data, all managed from a single sensor, a single console and the same data layer, regardless of which cloud each workload resides in.

A central aspect of the announcement is data sovereignty. As artificial intelligence workloads grow in the cloud, organizations need more control over where their sensitive information is processed and stored. Deploying Falcon on Google Cloud regional infrastructure in the United States aims to do exactly that: reduce operational complexity while helping to meet data residency and localization requirements. CrowdStrike has indicated that, after this first step focused on the U.S., it plans to extend Falcon's availability to other Google Cloud regions, which would allow data processing within each region to satisfy local regulations.

From CrowdStrike, chief business officer Daniel Bernard framed the announcement within that multicloud reality of the modern enterprise, stressing that availability on Google Cloud gives customers greater freedom to decide where they operate and makes it easier to consolidate cybersecurity on a trusted platform to stop breaches. For Google Cloud, Brian Goldstein, vice president of strategic AI and ISV partners, highlighted that combining Google Cloud's secure infrastructure with CrowdStrike's unified protection capabilities helps organizations protect their critical data and AI workloads with greater confidence, at a time when cybersecurity and data sovereignty are key pieces of any multicloud and AI strategy.

In practical terms, the announcement does not describe new product features, but rather expands deployment options: customers who already use or want to use Falcon will be able to run it directly on Google Cloud, adding to the hyperscaler options already available. This fits CrowdStrike's usual message about its single, lightweight agent architecture, designed to deliver fast, scalable deployment, higher performance and less complexity than security solutions fragmented across multiple tools and vendors.

The announcement does not detail pricing, an exact general availability date beyond the announcement at the event, or additional technical specifications about the integration with Google Cloud services, so these aspects will have to be tracked through future communications from both companies.
